Ophthalmologist

Dr. Rowland is a native of Crestview, Florida. She graduated in 1993 from Crestview High School and then attended Troy University. After graduating with a B.S. in Physical Science and minors in Psychology and Biology she worked locally as an ophthalmic technician where she found her calling in the world of ophthalmology. At the University of South Florida, she earned her medical degree and completed her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Ophthalmology. She returned to Northwest Florida in 2004 and has been practicing in the Pensacola area since. She is excited to return to her hometown of Crestview and become part of this thriving community again. Dr. Rowland enjoys spending time with her husband Keith and sons Joseph and Samuel as well as her fur babies Shelby and Hank. She loves CrossFit, running, gardening, ballroom and Latin dancing, reading, and home design. Her staff of valued technicians have been with her for many years and join her in this new chapter.

Office Mascot

Shelby is Dr. Rowland’s beautiful goldendoodle who shares her birthday of September 18. Her loving and loyal nature make her a valuable addition to the team. She is an emotional support dog who provides soothing and compassionate care to all who need her. Her hobbies are swimming in any body of water, long walks, chasing cats and she is an avid napper.

Head of Security

Hank was born March 31 of 2023 and is a new addition to the team. He brings energy and excitement to every room he enters. He has appointed himself as chief of security but shows his softer side when cuddling and snuggling his favorite people and toys. He is happy to provide comic relief and makes all who work with him feel loved. His other hobbies are chasing tennis balls, chewing stuffed animals, and long walks and runs.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

Dana was a “military brat” and has lived in multiple states during her childhood years. She relocated from Indianapolis, IN to Pensacola January 2016. She began her medical career in 1990 as a Certified Medical Assistant. She transitioned to Ophthalmology in 2002 when she became a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant.

She has 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, volunteering, spending time at the beach, shelling, kayaking, and just soaking up the beautiful Emerald Coast sunshine.

Samantha started in the field of Ophthalmology in 2016. She has a been an ophthalmic technician with Dr. Rowland since 2019. Samantha is a Pensacola native, and has two boys, Logan and Casey, with her husband Adam. In her free time, she enjoys baking, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends.

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

Debbie is a native Floridian. She’s been in ophthalmology for several years and has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rowland for the past 9 years. She enjoys working with patients and has made many friends over the years.

Outside of the office her favorite activities are spending time with my family and especially her grandchildren. She considers a day spent with family a perfect day! She also enjoys crafting and DIY projects around the house.
